Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical Specialty (Float Pool)
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Shift: 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours/week | Days
Assignment Duration: 11/24/2025 – 02/21/2026
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional nursing care to assigned patients with health issues ranging from simple to complex.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
- Assist physicians during examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
- Monitor physiological data and intervene appropriately when necessary.
- Administer medications, initiate and monitor IV infusions and blood products.
- Collaborate with patients and families to communicate care plans and discharge instructions.
- Make appropriate referrals regarding patient care needs and delegate tasks to support staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience
- Step-down experience required
- Travel experience required
- Preceptor and charge nurse experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to respond effectively to diverse patient needs
- Basic computer proficiency
Education:
- Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Licensure & Certifications:
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or Compact Multistate RN License (eNLC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
