RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment
• Day shift from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• No on-call requirements
• Work in 10-bed Post Anesthesia Recovery Unit (PACU)
• Phase 1 PACU patient ratio up to 2 patients per RN
• Phase 2 PACU patient ratio up to 3 patients per RN
• Perform Phase 1 PACU recovery including up to every 5-minute vital signs and pain medication administration
• Provide Phase 2 PACU recovery including discharge education and discharging patients home
• Work with GE bedside monitors and Meditech EMR system
• Critical care experience required including titrating drips, caring for intubated patients, and ventilator management
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP patients required
• Navy scrubs required or hospital OR scrubs option available
• Previous Meditech experience preferred
• Previous PACU Phase 1 experience at Trauma Center Level 1 or 2 preferred
• Must be flexible, organized, efficient, and a team player
• Centralized transport available for patient transfers

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive 10-bed Post Anesthesia Recovery Unit providing both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery services. The facility maintains a well-staffed unit with 24 team members and modern GE monitoring equipment. The organization uses Meditech EMR system and provides respiratory therapy support for ventilator and BiPAP/CPAP patients, ensuring comprehensive post-operative care in a collaborative environment.
