Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day/night rotation shifts with management being respectful of scheduling to allow adjustment time
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 13-week contract
• Weekend requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• Holiday requirement: Every 3rd holiday
• No on-call or call back requirements
• Float requirements include transports to Madison or Rochester and picking up babies from rural hospitals
• Primary work location in Level III NICU with 18 beds and one neonatal operating room
• Average of 4 transports per month, mostly air transport
• Care for critically ill or premature newborns (22 weeks gestation and greater)
• Provide specialized medical treatment, respiratory support, vital sign monitoring, and medication administration
• Perform bedside procedures including starting IVs, medication calculations and administration
• Conduct neonatal resuscitation
• Participate in air and ground transports with Neonatal Transport Team
• Support patients and families in end-of-life care
• Dress code: Navy blue bottoms, white or black top
• Required licenses: WI RN, IA RN, MN RN, AHA BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: AHA PALS, STABLE, CNPT
• Education requirements: Associates Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience requirements: 5+ years as RN, 3+ years NICU experience with transport experience required
• Must start medical compliance within 48 hours of accepted offer or 24 hours for quick start
• Requires keen assessment skills and critical thinking for interdisciplinary team collaboration
