Position Details:
- Day Shift Hours:10 Hour Shifts - 4 Days per Week with alternating days off each week (Schedules are made a month in advance)
- Full-Time - 40 Hours per Week
- NO CALL, NO WEEKENDS, closed on major holidays!!!
- Cardiovascular Procedure Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital!

- Provide imaging support in Vascular procedures using hybrid OR fluoro equipment
- Provide support in Cath Lab setting – monitoring patient vitals, setting up sterile procedure field, working with nurse and providers during cath lab procedures
- Siemens Machines - access to the latest and most advanced equipment needed to provide the clearest and most accurate images for complex and critical situations
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher level of education)
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)

The Cardiac Cath Lab, a division of the Cardiovascular Procedure Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, is on the leading edge of technology. Patients have been among the first to benefit from advanced angioplasty techniques, valvuloplasty and percutaneous valve replacements. The Cardiac Cath Lab has a 97% success rate in acute interventional cases and a current rate of 100% of STEMI patients receiving emergency percutaneous cardiac intervention within 90 minutes. The Staff Nurse (RN) is an integral part of the patient care team using critical thinking skills, clinical expertise and critical care skills to continually assess the patients' hemodynamic, neurologic and respiratory response to the varied procedures performed in the lab. The Staff Nurse (RN) is responsible for administering conscious sedation to patients during these procedures as well continually assessing their level of sedation and managing their airway. The Staff Nurse (RN) always puts the patients needs first by being a patient advocate in all aspects of care.
Preferred QualificationsRole Purpose
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
Responsibilities
Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
