Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Honesdale, PA
Schedule: 4x10 Hour Day Shifts | 40 Hours per Week
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Duration: 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and other interventional cardiac procedures.
- Prepare and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
- Operate and maintain Cath Lab equipment while ensuring adherence to sterile techniques.
- Float to PACU/SDS units to provide post-anesthesia and same-day surgery patient care as needed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and manage emergency situations effectively.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the EMR system.
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other RNs to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
Education & Certification:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience.
- Experience in PACU or SDS settings strongly preferred.
- Strong cardiac monitoring and hemodynamic interpretation skills.
Additional Skills:
- Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to patient needs in a changing environment.
