Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in California requiring a CA RN license, IR and Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM)
- Weekend coverage required every third weekend
- Patient care may involve specialized procedures common to Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab
- EPIC and Cerner EMR experience required
- Responsibilities include providing nursing care during interventional radiology procedures and assisting with cardiac catheterization cases
- Modules to be completed pre-start and annually; module hours may vary
- No blocked or self-scheduling permitted
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
- Must not have worked at the facility as a traveler within the past year
- No RTO (requested time off) allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment; all RTO must be submitted with application and cannot be changed afterward
- Must be prepared for no interview as the manager may not conduct interviews
- Dress code and holiday coverage expectations are determined by the hospital policy
Requirements
- Active, valid CA RN license required at the time of application (EMSA not accepted)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional radiology and cardiac cath lab nursing required
- At least 1 year of recent acute care experience
- Previous full-time experience in interventional radiology within the last 2 years required
- CPI Blue Card from Crisis Prevention Institute must be in hand (no substitutes accepted)
- Documented EPIC and Cerner EMR experience required
- Pass/fail EKG exam (up to 3 attempts required)
- Two supervisor references from the past 2 years required
- No first-time travelers accepted
