PCU RN Job Details
- Location: Springfield, VT (zip 05156) – Vermont healthcare jobs
- Facility: Inpatient Progressive Care Unit (IPCU), 25 beds
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/9/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
- Employment Type: Travel RN (W2)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990-$2130
PCU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Vermont RN license (required for Vermont nursing jobs)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
- Drip administration and monitoring experience required
- ICU experience strongly preferred
- At least 3 months of prior travel nursing experience (required)
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Experience in small, critical access healthcare facilities preferred
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA)
- Willingness to float to any inpatient unit within RN scope of practice
- Reliable personal vehicle required
PCU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in an adaptive acuity Progressive Care Unit
- Provide PCU-level clinical support with a 3:1 nurse-to-patient ratio as needed
- Manage patient assignments up to a 1:5 ratio
- Administer and monitor drips and advanced therapies
- Float to other inpatient units as required by hospital needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in every other weekend and holiday coverage
