Neuro ICU RN Job Details
- Location: Reno, Nevada (89502) – Nevada nursing jobs
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
- Unit: Neuro ICU (Roseview ICU – 18-bed Beacon Designated Unit)
- Shift: 3x12 hour nights (18:45 – 07:15)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025, End: 3/15/2026)
- Holiday Requirements: Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Eve + Day = 1 holiday)
- Floating: May float to other critical care units within competency
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1880 - $2020
ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Nevada RN license (required prior to start)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro ICU nursing experience
- Experience with Neuro Trauma and post Neuro-surgery patients
- Preferred: Experience with post Alteplase, post Thrombectomy, and external ventricular drains (EVDs)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment
Neuro ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive critical care nursing to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the Neuro ICU
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Manage patients with ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, neurologic tumors, seizures, and general medical ICU conditions (DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, etc.)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Provide exceptional patient-centered care and customer service
- Float to other intensive care units as needed within scope of practice
- Participate in holiday and weekend coverage as scheduled
