- Weekly Salary Range: $1,720 - $1,840 (estimated, depending on experience and qualifications)
Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Battle Creek, MI 49017 – Southwest Michigan healthcare jobs in a city known for friendly communities, scenic trails, and rich history.
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/16/2026)
- Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Unit: Medical Surgical (Neurovascular, Ortho, Cardio/Pulmonary, Surgical patients including GI, urology, hysterectomies, mastectomies)
- Staffing Ratio: 1:4-5 (may flex to 7 with LPN support)
- Orientation: Must be available first 8 days of assignment
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
- Floating: Will float to other Med/Surg units as needed
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Michigan RN License required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience (2 years preferred)
- Experience working with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (RNs, LPNs, Techs)
- Ability to float to other Medical Surgical units
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted)
- Professional references required
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to medical and surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals including RNs, LPNs, and Techs
- Float to other Med/Surg units as needed, typically once per week
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
- Educate and support patients and their families
- Comply with hospital policies, including holiday and weekend scheduling
- Participate in orientation and annual training modules
