Client Side Project Architect - Commercial

Madison Berkeley is incredibly excited to be working on a new opportunity for a Client-side Project Architect on behalf of a privately owned property company with a portfolio of commercial-led developments in some of London’s most prestigious locations.

We are currently keen to speak with qualified architects with a minimum of 5 years high-quality design experience who have worked on West-End commercial properties, including ground up development as well as cut and carve and refurbishment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone currently working within a family office, private developer, or a lean development team. You’ll act as the client’s trusted advisor and critical link to the design and delivery process, providing insight, challenge, and oversight while working closely with more junior architects and top-tier consultants to bring ambitious projects to life.

To be considered you will be / have:

A holistic overview of the development and a keen eye for high-quality design and attention to detail
5+ years post qualification as an Architecture (ARB/RIBA)
Demonstration of key involvement in one or more retrofit/new build projects from RIBA Stage 2 to through to handover
Experience of the West End market and Westminster City Council
Worked on site on facades (stone, brick, pre-cast concrete) and interiors (high-quality CAT A+, receptions, end of trip stations, retail/f&b)
Good understanding of different forms of contract; JCT / Design and Build
Previous experience of working within a boutique developer or family office environment
