Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Baltimore, MD 21239 (Maryland nursing jobs)
- Position: Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Inpatient Rehab
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/9/2025 – End: 3/10/2026)
- Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,490 - $1,600
- Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Weekend Shifts per Contract: 4-5
- Floating: Required to float to similar MedSurg units as needed
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license in Maryland or compact state (Registered Nurse license required)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute inpatient rehabilitation nursing experience preferred
- Experience with blood glucose monitoring, feeding tube care, orthopedic nursing, and respiratory care required
- Preferred skills: cardiac arrest management, insulin protocols, NG tube insertion/management
- Familiarity with Cerner charting system is a plus
- Ability to manage a patient ratio of 5-6
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Two supervisor references required
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
RN Responsibilities in Acute Inpatient Rehab
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living, including ambulation, toileting, and therapy appointments
- Administer medications, treatments, and manage complex care needs (Heparin drips, CAPD, tracheostomy, G-tube, wound vac)
- Monitor and assess high fall risk patients, implementing fall prevention strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
- Ensure accurate documentation and communication using the Cerner electronic health record system
- Float to similar MedSurg units as required based on census and staffing needs
- Complete orientation and required modules prior to assignment start
