Job Details – Asheville Nursing Jobs
- Location: Asheville, NC 28801 – Experience the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains, thriving arts scene, and lively downtown full of restaurants and music.
- Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (ER) – 101 beds
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
- Start Date: November 23, 2025
- End Date: February 22, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12 Hour Days (10:45AM – 11:15PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Scheduling: Every other weekend required; flexibility to meet department needs
ER RN Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
- Preferred: Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume emergency department (100,000+ annual visits)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
- ENPC certification within 90 days of hire
- Strong teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
- Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department
- Professionalism, respectful behavior, and commitment to excellent patient experience
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs
Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
- Manage patient ratios typically 4:1 (medical), up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
- Utilize Baxter pumps and GE monitors; document care using Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with techs, unit clerks, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed
- Maintain updated patient boards and communicate effectively throughout each visit
- Uphold department policies, guidelines, and attendance standards
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive healthcare team culture
