Seattle Nursing Job Details
- Location: Seattle, WA 98107 (Pacific Northwest)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shifts: Night (19:00 - 07:00) and Mid (15:00 - 03:30); 3x12-hour shifts weekly
- Unit: Emergency Services (Combined Adult/Pediatric)
- Start Date: December 1, 2025
- End Date: March 2, 2026
- Staffing Ratio: 1:4
- Beds: 18
- Visits/Day: 65
- Charting System: EPIC
- Medication System: Pyxis
- Floating: Required to Edmonds and other Swedish campuses
- On Call: Every other weekend (varies)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,730 - $1,850
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience (2 years strong ER experience may be considered)
- Active Registered Nurse license in Washington or Compact State
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
- General Emergency Department (Adult/Pediatric) experience required
- Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
- IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, and blood product administration
- Experience with ventilated patients, CPAP/BiPAP, and procedural sedation
- Triage experience
- Preferred: Previous charge nurse experience and Level II Trauma Center background
- Preferred: EPIC charting experience
- Professional scrubs (any color)
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to adults and pediatric patients
- Assist with procedures: breathing treatments, chest tube care, CPAP/BiPAP, intubation, trach care, ventilator management, blood administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, EKG, central line access, feeding tubes, syringe pumps
- Manage diverse diagnoses: sepsis, AMI, respiratory distress, abdominal pain, fractures, heart failure, chest pain, stroke, psychiatric and chemical dependency cases
- Float to other Swedish campuses and participate in on-call rotation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services)
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC
- Follow facility policies, compliance, and scheduling requirements
