Advanced Specialty Staff RN - Chemotherapy at Providence Health and Services summary:
The Advanced Specialty Staff RN - Chemotherapy provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy and infusion treatments, ensuring adherence to high safety and quality standards. This role includes leadership responsibilities, mentoring other nursing staff, and assisting in the organization and daily functions of the procedure room. Candidates must hold a valid RN license, BLS certification, and obtain chemo/immunotherapy certification shortly after hire to support patient-centered care in an ambulatory or hospital setting.
Description
Provides professional patient care for all patients following established standards and practices. Serves as a role model for Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants and LVNs by providing leadership which fosters positive attitudes and change, as well as supports management policies and procedures. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care of patients undergoing procedures. Assists in the organization and daily function of the procedure room in accordance with established federal, state and accreditation standards and facility policies and procedures. Assists in overseeing patient care activities and maintains a high standard of safety for the patient and other staff members.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of a recognized Registered Nursing program.
- California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
- Upon completion of orientation in Infusion Department: ONS Chemo/Immunotherapy Certification within 90 days of hire.
- 2 years RN experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years Ambulatory/hospital experience with references.
