Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Acute Care position in Colorado requiring an active CO or compact license and recent acute care experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Adult Med/Surg and Observation unit with a growing census due to orthopedic surgeries, hybrid cath lab procedures, and acute/chronic illnesses
- 12-hour day shifts with weekend rotation required
- Participation in the call rotation is required, with one call shift every two weeks as needed
- Must work in a hospital setting
- Responsibilities include providing high-quality nursing care to adult med/surg and observation patients utilizing the nursing process
- Increased patient census is expected due to seasonal orthopedic surgeries and procedures
- Facility offers traveler housing options, including remodeled studio and one-bedroom apartments near the hospital, based on availability and paid by the traveler
- Work as part of a growing and supportive acute care nursing team
- Opportunities to experience Colorado mountain living during the assignment
Requirements
- Active RN license in Colorado or compact state, currently active
- Minimum of 2 years recent acute care, med/surg, or telemetry RN experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Proof of current flu vaccination required, with no exemptions allowed
- Candidates’ permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
