What You Will Do:
- Greet patients and guests presenting to hospital business office.
- Assist patients with questions related to account processing, insurance coverage and resolution of patient liability.
- Sort and distribute incoming business office mail.
- Distinguish and triage types of correspondence and scan into system.
- Complete all assigned projects in a timely manner.
- Complete all Process business-related requests and correspondence from patients and insurance companies.
- Complete all assigned projects in a timely manner.
- Assist client and patients in all requested tasks.
- Communicate to Guidehouse management areas of concern or areas of improvement.
- Research and respond to all patient inquiries received by telephone and mail.
- Post payments to patient accounts.
- Update patient demographic information
- Customer Service
- Sort Mail
- Process Correspondence
- Cash Posting
- Scanning
This position is in office at Ventura, CA Business office and three days from home.
What You Will Need:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 0-2+ years relevant experience within healthcare, insurance, business office and/or revenue cycle operations.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- 1+ year’s medical provider billing or hospital billing experience working with insurance communications.
- Hospital or EOB claims emphasis
- PC skills in a Windows environment are required. Knowledge and utilization of desktop applications to include Word and Excel is essential.
- Ability to initiate and follow through on projects and work independently with minimal supervision required.
- Experience with EPIC

The annual salary range for this position is $38,000.00-$63,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
