- Location: Tuscaloosa, AL 35401
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/8/2026)
- Healthcare Setting: Pulmonary/Med/Surg Telemetry Unit (36 beds)
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00-07:00), every other weekend required
- Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours available)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1720 - $1840
- Dress Code: Solid Navy Scrubs
- Parking: On-site available
- EMR System: Meditech
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or Compact state (no temporary licenses)
- Associate degree in nursing required
- Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg Telemetry or pulmonary nursing specialty
- 18+ months of overall RN experience preferred
- Ability to float to other units and hospitals as needed
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide specialized, high-quality care to patients with respiratory and medical conditions
- Monitor patients using telemetry and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy teams
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6, ensuring compassionate and attentive nursing care
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR system
- Float to other units or hospitals as required
- Work every other weekend and holidays as needed
