RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work on a 36-bed Medical/Surgical unit on the 4th floor
• Patient ratios of 6:1 (low acuity) with potential surge to 7:1 (rare)
• Day shift staffing: 1 Charge nurse, 7 RNs, 3 PCTs, 1-3 sitters
• Night shift staffing: 1 Charge nurse, 7 RNs, 3 PCTs, 1-3 sitters
• Must have ability to handle 6:1 patient ratio and strong time management skills
• Preferred skills include teamwork and Meditech experience
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Perform full assessments, Q8 focused assessments, IV antibiotics administration
• Conduct bladder scans, discharge education, and admission assessments
• Self-scheduling available in order of HR status
• 4 guaranteed request-off shifts per 4-week schedule period
• Dress code requires teal or white scrubs with no offensive tattoos or t-shirts
• New graduate friendly environment with experienced mentors available
• Group messaging system for real-time updates from coworkers and management

The facility maintains lower patient acuity levels making afternoons very manageable after busy mornings. The unit features highly energetic management and administration who are always available to assist staff. With a good mix of experienced nurses (some with 15-20 years of experience) and new graduates, the facility creates a collaborative environment where staff are always willing to help each other.
