Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state eligibility
- At least 1 year of recent experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry nursing role
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and commit to a 6-week travel nursing assignment
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient care skills
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Monitor, assess, and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health management
