Day and Night 3x12-Hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30 / 19:00 - 07:30); rotating shifts may occur based on operational needs.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse for a contract position. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical telemetry unit.
- Monitor ECG and vital signs, recognizing and responding to changes in patient conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to enhance patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on discharge planning and at-home care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required.
- Recent experience in a Med/Surg Tele setting is essential.
- Permanent Ohio RN License or Compact State License required.
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation.
