Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a Medical Pulmonary unit, requiring an active IL RN license and proficiency with Epic EMR.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital-based Medical-Surgical Pulmonary unit
Patient population includes pulmonary cases such as COPD, RSV/Flu/COVID, tracheostomy patients, and pneumonia
12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm to 7:30 am), 36 hours per week
Schedule requires work every other weekend
Must be available for 2 of the 3 major holidays during the assignment
No on-call requirement
May float to other Med Surg units as needed
Uses Epic EMR; proficiency and ability to test out is required
Care for pulmonary-focused Med/Surg patients in a team environment
Orientation includes 6 hours with Epic EMR test out on the day shift
Royal blue scrubs required, no healthcare branding except Endeavor
First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

Active IL RN license required
Current CPR certification required
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting
Proficiency with Epic EMR and ability to pass the Epic test
