Med/Surg RN Job Details
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780-$1910
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Location: Great Bend, KS 67530 (Kansas nursing jobs)
- Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Unit
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (06:45am – 07:15pm)
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Weekend Rotation: 2 weekends per month
- On-call: 1 shift per month
- Holiday Rotation: Required
- Floating: May float within scope
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active KS RN or Compact State License (Registered Nurse license)
- Minimum 1 year of hospital Med/Surg experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with titrating drips (Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, Cardizem) preferred
- Nicotine-free healthcare facility
- Must comply with 60-mile radius rule
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in the Medical/Surgical unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress
- Administer medications and manage IV drips according to clinical protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations as scheduled
- Float to other nursing units within scope as needed
