Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Details
- Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama (35401) – Alabama nursing jobs
- Unit: Heart Failure / Stroke Unit (Medical Surgical Telemetry)
- Assignment Type: Travel RN Contract
- Start Date: December 8, 2025
- End Date: March 7, 2026
- Duration: 13-week travel assignment
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,720 - $1,840 per week
- Dress Code: Solid Navy Scrubs
- Parking: On-site available
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or Compact State (no temporary licenses)
- BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred; will consider candidates with at least 18 months, including 1 year in Med/Surg Telemetry
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
- Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients with neurological and cardiac diagnoses, including congestive heart failure and acute stroke
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team of nurses, cardiologists, and neurologists to deliver best-practice patient care
- Manage a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio in a busy clinical setting
- Accurately document patient care and interventions using Meditech EMR
- Float to other hospital units or facilities within the healthcare system as required
- Work every other weekend and holidays as needed
