Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Reston, VA (20190) – Northern Virginia healthcare jobs
- Facility Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit (15 LDR rooms, OB triage, 3 ORs, Level III NICU)
- Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
- Start Date: November 10, 2025
- End Date: February 9, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour shifts (7:00am–7:00pm and 7:00pm–7:00am)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1630–$1750 per week
- Dress Code: Hospital-supplied scrubs
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Virginia or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience in a high-volume clinical setting
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- AWOHHN Fetal Heart Rate Intermediate certification preferred
- Experience circulating C-sections and caring for high acuity obstetric patients
- Ability to float within women's and children's healthcare service lines
Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care to mothers in labor and postpartum
- Circulate and assist in C-section deliveries and other obstetric procedures
- Administer IV medications (e.g., magnesium sulfate) and monitor high-risk patients
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Document patient care using Meditech and CPN electronic health record systems
- Float to related units within the women's and children's department as needed
