Software Engineering Manager

Central London (hybrid)

£125,000 – £150,000 + equity

Shape a team, scale a product that matters, and grow faster than in any Big Tech org.

You'll guide a high-performing product delivery team, directly improving how over a million people interact with a platform that's solving real problems. You'll earn well, work on challenges that matter, and develop fast toward Director-level influence with support, not bureaucracy.

Forget building internal dashboards or soulless pipelines. Here, your work reaches real consumers at scale. Whether it's launching new product features, personalising user journeys, or solving access and experience gaps, you'll lead the tech that powers it. You'll work with thoughtful engineers, product minds, and domain experts and you'll stay technical (not on the critical path, but you know what good locks like) while stepping up into strategic leadership.

What you'll take charge of

Leading a cross-functional team through high-impact product builds
Collaborating closely with your Product Manager to shape ideas into viable delivery plans, balancing technical depth with speed
Staying hands-on when needed guiding architecture, technical decisions, deployments and operations
Coaching your team with real feedback and growth paths, helping them become better engineers, not just faster ones
Helping your team stay close to the problem, building for real user needs, not internal metrics

What you'll bring

Great engineering experience in product led companies, with experience leading or mentoring others
Experience delivering full product journeys, from discovery to release
Ability to work with product, design, and stakeholders to balance speed and quality
Strong communicator who brings clarity to complex ideas
