- Unit: Labor & Delivery
- Start Date: December 1, 2025
- End Date: March 2, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night, 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:30 - 08:00)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)
- Scrub Color: Provided
- Charting Systems: Centricity, Sorian, EDM, Lawson, Kronos
- Parking: Multiple options; accessible via Metro and bus
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Active RN license in the District of Columbia (required at time of application)
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
- Ability to float within hospital or to affiliated healthcare facilities
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
- First-time travel nurses welcome
- Two supervisor references required
- Pending RN license not accepted
- One request for time off permitted
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical setting
- Perform triage of obstetrical patients and provide couplet care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float within scope to meet facility needs
- Maintain accurate documentation using hospital charting systems
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
- Participate in orientation and ongoing nursing training
