Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Titusville, FL 32796 (Florida healthcare jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/1/2025 – End: 3/2/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00), 3 shifts per week
- Hours per Week: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1260 - $1350
- Setting: Mixed Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in an Acute Care Hospital
- Patient Ratio: 1:6 (PCU level patients)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required within nursing scope
- Orientation: 5 shifts (36-40 hours) during the first week
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry or PCU RN experience
- Experience with 1:6 patient ratios and PCU-level care required
- Active Florida or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of application)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS (or willing to obtain before start)
- Must reside more than 30 miles from facility (no local travel nurses)
- Orthopedic and total joint replacement nursing experience strongly preferred
- Telemetry experience required; cardiac drip and Meditech charting experience preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Ability to float within nursing scope as needed
- Must be able to work required holiday shifts if assignment overlaps with holidays
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry/PCU unit
- Manage a 1:6 patient ratio, including progressive care patients
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage cardiac drips (no titration), and respond to rapid response/code teams
- Perform central and peripheral line care, wound care, and tracheostomy management
- Administer medications, blood products, and manage surgical drains
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
- Float to other nursing units within scope as needed
- Document patient care using Meditech charting system
- Participate in mandatory orientation and complete required pre-start modules
