- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights, 3 shifts per week)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1950 - $2090 per week
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – Required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments for mothers and newborns
- Deliver compassionate and skilled nursing care in a maternity setting
- Demonstrate proficiency with emergency medical equipment and procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and education
- Promote patient and family satisfaction through professional interactions
- Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocols
- Utilize safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics
- Individualize patient care based on procedures and anesthesia type
- Educate patients and families on procedures, instructions, and post-operative care
- Support completion of patient testing and evaluate Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders
- Contribute to a collaborative perioperative healthcare team environment
