ICU RN Job Details – Yuma, AZ

- Assignment Length: 13 weeks

- Shift: 12-hour days (06:45 – 19:15)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Arizona or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience in a Level I or II trauma hospital
- Proficiency with Epic EMR within the last 18-24 months
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Experience with ventilators, sedation, sepsis, pressors, DKA, cardiac, CHF, and respiratory cases
- Ability to titrate critical care drips (vasopressors, inotropes, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, sedatives, paralytics, analgesics, anticoagulants, insulin)
- Willingness to float to other hospital units as needed
- No more than 5 days of requested time off during the assignment
ICU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients in a 42-bed ICU
- Manage nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 (MedSurg ICU); 1:3 if no vents/drips
- Collaborate with intensivists, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and clinical support staff
- Monitor, titrate, and administer a wide range of critical care medications and drips
- Participate in rapid response and code situations as needed
- Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
- Float to other nursing units as required, maintaining safe patient ratios
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards
