Estimated Weekly Salary
- Weekly Salary Range: $1,630 - $1,750 per week (estimated)
Medical/Surgical RN Job Details
- Location: Henrico, VA 23294 (Richmond area)
- Unit: Medical Surgical (2E, Main Building)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour days (07:00 – 19:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs
- Floating: May float to Med Surg and Inpatient Rehab as needed
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing setting
- Proficient in clinical assessment and medication administration
- Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and unit requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
RN Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care, including medication administration and clinical assessments
- Assist with procedures: NG tubes, feeding tubes, Foley catheters, surgical drains
- Provide wound care and manage IV fluids and medications
- Conduct surgical assessments and provide post-operative care
- Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation using the facility’s EMR system
