Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Job Details
- Location: Silver Spring, Maryland 20904 (Greater Washington, D.C. area)
- Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/17/2025 – End: 2/16/2026)
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts/week (07:00 – 17:30)
- Weekly Hours: 40
- On-Call: Required (1 week in 4)
- Patient Population: Adult patients (Daily census: 12-15)
- Orientation: 80 hours
Qualifications for CT / Rad Tech Jobs
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab (2 years preferred)
- Active Maryland Radiology license (required at time of application)
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Experience with scrubbing cases and patient monitoring preferred
- RCIS certification and experience accepted
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR system preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions)
- No-tobacco policy (nicotine screening required)
- Ability to float to other hospital units or affiliate hospitals as needed
CT / Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab
- Scrub cases and assist with cardiac catheterizations, stent placements, and vascular interventions
- Monitor patients during procedures, including sedation administration and monitoring
- Operate specialized equipment: IABP, Impella, ECMO
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response)
- Maintain infection prevention and isolation protocols
- Document procedures and patient care in Cerner electronic medical records
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency cases
