Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg assignment in a mixed-acuity facility requiring trauma and telemetry experience.

Responsibilities

Located in a 39-bed mixed-acuity hospital setting specializing in medical, surgical, and stepdown care
Primarily adult to elderly patient population, with patients as young as 18
RN patient ratios are 4:1 or 5:1 depending on acuity
Must be able to work 12-hour shifts including days (36 hours) and nights (48 hours)
Floating between shifts may be required
Every other weekend and rotating holiday coverage required
Must have experience managing Cardizem and Amiodarone drips
Daily responsibilities include caring for a diverse patient population with varying acuity levels
Must manage advanced drips including Cardizem and Amiodarone
Assigned to cover both day and night shifts depending on facility needs
Holiday and weekend coverage is expected according to rotation

Requirements

Active NH or compact RN license with proof of state residency
Current BLS certification required
Minimum of 1.5 years of recent equivalent Med/Surg experience
Telemetry experience required
Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years
Must have previous travel nursing experience
No local candidates permitted; candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility
