- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

- End Date: February 9, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shifts: 12-hour nights (7p-7a), 3 shifts/week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- Weekend/Holiday: Rotating weekends and holidays
- Charting System: EPIC
- Unit Size: 18 beds
- Nurse:Patient Ratio: 1:2
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or proof of application
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (Neuro ICU experience preferred)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
- Proficient in ventriculostomy, ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, tPA administration, acute stroke management, and post-craniectomy care
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
- Ability to titrate drips and manage complex ICU patients
- Willingness to float to other hospital units as needed
- Must pass a comprehensive drug screen (drug-free campus)
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to Neuro ICU patients with neurological emergencies, including strokes and craniotomies
- Monitor and manage ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and titratable drips according to physician orders
- Interpret cardiac and neuro monitoring strips using Phillips monitors
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including charge nurses, house supervisors, nurse aides, and telemetry/monitor techs
- Participate in unit-specific orientation and ongoing clinical education
- Float to intermediate and general care units as required
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC
- Uphold the highest standards of patient safety, infection control, and quality care
