📍 Location: Chelmsford, Essex - You will need to be a car driver due to the location

🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

📄 Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

🔍 Enquiry Management

Collaborate with operations to assess work requirements and costings
Maintain client relationships and support business development
Liaise with the Commercial Director on future opportunities

💼 Financial Management

Prepare monthly valuations and applications in line with client schedules
Oversee invoicing and resolve account queries with credit control and operations
Ensure accurate financial documentation across all projects

📊 Commercial Reporting

Produce and maintain monthly CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations)
Track labour and material costs against project value
Maintain and update payment trackers

Requirements

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager
Strong understanding of commercial processes and financial reporting
Proficient in cloud-based systems and digital documentation
Excellent communication, organisation, and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
