Echocardiograph Technologist at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR
Full Time / Day Shift
$6,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.
Performs cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing a variety of complex ultrasound equipment. Objectively identifies the presence of or absence of disease utilizing a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Required Qualifications:
- Oregon Sonographer upon hire.
- National Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire or,
- National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire or,
- National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree - Applied Science, from a CAAHPE accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- 1 year: Experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations or minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available.
- Pediatric echocardiography experience. Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices).
- Experience with echo guided trans-catheter procedures. (St. Vincent Medical Center).
