AM Bus Company Is Hiring School Bus Dispatcher in the Chicago, IL area!

Earn $24 to $27 Per Hour

We are seeking an organized and proactive School Bus Dispatcher to join our operations team. The Dispatcher plays a key role in ensuring our daily transportation services run smoothly—coordinating routes, communicating with drivers, and responding quickly to any issues that arise.

Responsibilities:

Scheduling & Coordination: Develop and manage daily driver and vehicle schedules to ensure all routes are covered efficiently and on time.
Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between drivers, maintenance staff, school partners, and management. Maintain clear, professional communication throughout the day.
Problem-Solving: Respond promptly to service disruptions such as vehicle breakdowns, absences, or route changes. Implement solutions to minimize delays and maintain service quality.
Monitoring Operations: Track route progress and ensure compliance with safety and company policies.
Administrative Support: Record route updates, driver assignments, and service changes accurately in dispatch logs or digital systems.

Other responsibilities Include:

Previous dispatch or transportation coordination experience preferred (school bus or trucking industry a plus).
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
Working knowledge of GPS, routing, or dispatching systems is a plus.
Familiarity with Chicago streets and neighborhoods preferred.
