Med/Surg RN Job Details
- Location: Le Mars, IA 51031 (Northwest Iowa healthcare jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Oct 27, 2025 – Jan 26, 2026)
- Healthcare Setting: Critical Access Hospital – Emergency Department & Med-Surg
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights), including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680-$1800
- Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Iowa or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Strong clinical assessment, patient care, and critical thinking skills
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in Medical-Surgical and Emergency Department settings
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing procedures as prescribed
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, discharge instructions, and ongoing care
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and compliant environment for patients and staff
