Description
Under the supervision of the Manager, this position works independently and conducts polysomnographic testing. The PSGT safely operates sophisticated medical equipment used to record sleep/wake physiology, explains procedures, prepares patients and applies recording devices. Key responsibilities include monitoring polygraph recordings and audio/visual equipment to ensure patient safety, test quality, sleep/wake data and other physiological events.

Required Qualifications:
- California Polysom Technologist License upon hire.
- National Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists upon hire, Or
- National Certified Polysomnographic Technician - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- 1 year experience as a polysomnographic technologist.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Polysomnography.
- Upon hire: Membership in Association of Polysomnographic Technologist (APT) or American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).
