Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position with Med Surg floating responsibilities and night shift work.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit with responsibilities in Postpartum, Nursery, and Mother/Baby care
- Required to float and assist in the Med Surg unit when OB patient census is low
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend
- Uses the Meditech EMR system
- Must be comfortable handling Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, and Med Surg patient care needs
- First time travelers are welcome to apply
- Facility housing is available at a slightly reduced rate
- Team members may be required to help in Med Surg as support staff during low OB census
- No radius or local restrictions; local candidates accepted at the same rate
Requirements
- Active MO or Compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS
- Fetal monitoring skills required
- Willingness to float to Med Surg and assist as needed
