Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a MT or compact RN license and proficiency with EPIC charting.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Medical-Surgical unit of a hospital setting
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Patient care within the general med/surg population
- Use of EPIC EMR system is required
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
- On-call duties may be required during scheduled shifts
- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care
- Duties include independent and delegated medical functions according to accepted standards
- Requires timely, accurate documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Applicants must be able to meet physical and clinical demands of the Med/Surg unit
- Compliance with facility dress code is required
Requirements
- Active MT or compact RN license must be in hand for consideration
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, not expiring prior to start
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school required
- Experience with EPIC charting required
