Job Description
      American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a Level III Trauma Center with a high-acuity, diverse patient population and strong team support.
      
            Responsibilities
            - Level III Trauma Center emergency department with 46 beds, including 5 safe psych rooms and a Fast Track area
- Serves pediatric to geriatric patients, including trauma, STEMI, sepsis, mental health, and high-acuity medical cases
- Average 200 patients per day with day shift nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5, flexible based on acuity and staffing
- Work schedule consists of 12-hour day and mid shifts, with potential for scheduling adjustments and varying weekends
- Uses Epic EMR, Alaris, Pyxis, and telemetry monitoring at the nursing station
- No floating required
- Scheduling provided three weeks at a time, ten days in advance
- No on-call responsibilities
- Holiday coverage includes two of the five major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
- Position involves providing emergency care to adult and pediatric patients with a range of medical, trauma, psychiatric, and cardiac emergencies
- Strong multidisciplinary team support, including ER techs, RT, educators, social work, pharmacy, and security available 24/7
- Comprehensive orientation includes NEO, Epic training, mental health area introduction, and 12-hour shift with preceptor
- Traveler friendly, fast-paced, and team-oriented work environment
- Scrubs of any professional color allowed; modest piercings and non-offensive tattoos permitted
- Free parking provided in designated areas

Requirements
      - Active WA or compact RN license required (pending license considered with proof of application)
- Minimum two years of recent emergency department RN experience required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and CPI/MOAB
- Competency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV skills, procedural sedation, blood administration, and emergency medication administration
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Traveler telemetry competency exam must be completed and passed prior to start
