Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in an acute care setting, requiring an IL RN license and at least 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab within an acute care hospital setting
Schedule consists of 5x8 hour day shifts with shifts from 8:00am-4:30pm or 7:00am-5:30pm
Primary environment includes a 2-bed cath lab, 1-bed electrophysiology room, and 14 holding beds
Call and standby coverage required, typically 1-2 days per week and every fourth weekend, with occasional weeknight call
Charting is completed using Allscripts - Sunrise EMR
Responsibilities include supporting high acuity cardiac procedures where door-to-balloon times are under 40 minutes
RNs may be assigned to the holding room if census requires
Fast-paced, team-oriented work environment

Requirements

Active IL RN license required
Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, ARRT, and NIHSS are required
Electrophysiology experience is preferred but not required
