Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a current OH or compact RN license and strong recent MS/Tele experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Care for adult patients requiring medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring
- Rotating day/night 12-hour shifts (7:00-19:30 and 19:00-7:30), with shifts subject to change based on hospital needs
- Expected to work at least every other holiday
- ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment required during orientation
- Holiday coverage is required at least every other holiday
- Candidates must obtain acceptable scores on required assessments during orientation with up to two attempts permitted
- Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
- Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals within one year of their previous end date
- Badge pickup and fingerprinting must be completed onsite prior to start date
- Pre-start and annual educational modules must be completed as assigned
- Nurses are currently exempt from nicotine-free requirements
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be active
- Minimum of 18 months permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele prior to travel
- At least 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience required (travel experience accepted)
- One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in the specialty is required
- No pending licenses or certifications
- No open background cases or license hits accepted
