Job Description
      American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a busy Emergency Department at a Level III Trauma Center, requiring a WA or compact RN license and expertise across a broad patient population.
      
            Responsibilities
            - Position is in the Emergency Department of a Level III Trauma Center
- Facility has 375 licensed beds and 46 ED beds, including 5 safe psych rooms and a Fast Track area
- Average of 200 patients per day from peds to geriatrics, including trauma, cardiac (STEMI), sepsis, DKA, mental health, and respiratory emergencies
- Patient ratio is typically 1:4-5, flexing based on acuity and staffing
- Shifts are 12 hours, primarily mids and nights (1500, 1900), with possible rotation to days, as notified in advance
- Weekend schedules vary depending on unit needs
- No on-call requirement
- Epic is used for documentation; Alaris and Pyxis in use; central and bedside telemetry with monitoring at nursing station
- No floating to other units
- Responsibilities include caring for trauma, high-acuity medical, cardiac, psychiatric, and limited pediatric patients
- Comprehensive support team includes charge nurse, ER techs, resource/float nurse, RT, educator, security, social work, pharmacy, and house supervisor, all available 24/7
- Orientation includes unit onboarding, Epic training, and precepted shift
- Required to work 2 out of 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day
- Dress code allows any professional scrub color; piercings must be modest and tattoos must not be offensive
- First-time travelers are welcome

Requirements
      - Active WA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI or MOAB
- Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV skills, blood administration, procedural sedation, and cardiac drips/medications
- Telemetry competency exam must be completed and passed before start
