Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a highly experienced Operating Room RN with Davinci Robotic and Level II trauma experience for a general OR team position in Wisconsin.
Responsibilities
- Position based in a hospital operating room on the general team
- Requires floating to other nearby facilities as needed
- 13-week contract with 8-hour variable shifts, including 0700-1530, 0900-1730, and 1100-1930
- On-call requirements include 6-8 weeknights and 1-2 weekends during the contract, with a required 30-minute response time
- Weekend and holiday call rotation required
- Unit has 21 ORs covering all specialties, averaging 40-60 cases per day
- Uses Epic charting system (preferred)
- Must have own vehicle for reliable transportation due to on-call responsibilities
- Flexibility and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role
- Responsible for OR circulating (scrubbing preferred), assisting with various surgical specialties, and performing downtime support tasks as needed
- Team-oriented and adaptable candidates who manage change well are preferred
- Scrub color choice is not restricted
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
- Holiday coverage and call rotation are required as scheduled
- Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible for consideration
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 5 years of OR RN experience in a facility with at least 20 ORs
- At least one prior travel assignment as an OR RN required
- Experience circulating required and scrub experience preferred
- Davinci Robotic surgical experience required
- Level II trauma experience required
- Experience in general surgery, GYN, urology, plastics, ENT, and GI is a plus
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Ability to arrive in the OR within 30 minutes when on call
- Vehicle required; cannot rely on rideshare services for on call
