Title: Radiation Therapist
Location: Portland, OR
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 15:00)

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients, ensuring accuracy and safety in all procedures. The role involves operating linear accelerators, performing patient setup and verification, monitoring patient responses, and maintaining treatment records.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist
ARRT (R) certification, BLS, and valid state license required
Experience with Elekta Infinity or Elekta Versa HD preferred
Proficiency in Epic charting system preferred
Experience in a teaching hospital preferred
Familiarity with radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience with CT Simulation, custom molds/shields, and tumor localization
Knowledge of IMRT, external beam therapy, electron beam therapy, and prostate cancer treatments with seeds/fiducials
Experience with CBCT/kV/mV imaging, respiratory gating, and beam positioning
Use of dosimetry tools and billing for treatment types/devices
Comfort with emergency cases, chart checks, and crash cart use
Familiarity with patient handling equipment (Maxi Move, Hoyer Lift, Sara Stedy, Hover Mat)

Work Setting:

Adult outpatient environment within a teaching hospital
Care for adult and geriatric oncology patients
Approximately 50 patients scheduled daily across two linear accelerators
Supported by interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, social services, and rapid response teams

Additional Details:

Patient ratio: 1:2
No float, call, or weekend requirements
Experience with MOSAIQ and Exac Trac systems preferred but not required
