Med/Surg RN Job Details
- Location: Ranson, West Virginia 25438
- Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Medical/Surgical & Telemetry Unit
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), rotating weekends and holidays
- Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed
- Contract Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract (Start: 10/24/2025 – End: 1/23/2026)
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse – On-Site
- Charting System: Epic EMR
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880–$2020
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or compact state
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Ability to provide professional references and resume upon submission
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the healthcare facility
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a 16-bed Medical/Surgical and Telemetry unit
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patient progress
- Manage wound care, CBI, catheter care, and orthopedic procedures
- Accurately document all care and procedures using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float to Telemetry unit as needed
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
- Participate in rotating weekend and holiday coverage
