Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a general hospital requiring CT or compact RN licensure and advanced perinatal certifications.
Responsibilities
- 78-bed general hospital setting with Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, and Couplet Care
- Involves attending all deliveries, low risk antepartum care, and transition nursery assignments
- Night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with every other weekend required
- Occasional float to Med/Surg or Senior Behavioral Health as helping hands (no patient assignment), rotating 2 hours at a time
- Provide comprehensive care to maternity patients through labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
- Float support is strictly as helping hands without assuming patient assignments
- Local candidates within 60 miles considered at a reduced rate
- Adherence to required hospital protocols and participation in all deliveries expected
- Holiday coverage may be required according to unit scheduling
Requirements
- Active CT or compact state RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) RN experience
- Advanced NRP certification required (AHA only)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA only)
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required; C-EFM through NCC required
- Completion of STABLE certification preferred
- Two professional references from the past year in the current specialty required for consideration
- Certifications must not expire during the assignment; provide renewal receipts if applicable
