Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an ER RN in a large Emergency Department (52 beds or more preferred)
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
- TNCC certification preferred
- Strong skills in IV starts, medication administration, sedation, and pediatric care
- Previous travel nursing experience or experience in large healthcare facilities is a plus
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients in a busy ER setting
- Perform IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and pediatric care procedures
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including nurses, techs, physicians, and midlevels
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using Meditech EMR
- Follow all unit guidelines and policies, including patient and medication scanning protocols
- Adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Provide excellent patient experiences and contribute to a positive healthcare team culture
