Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join the Float Pool team. This position plays a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center environment. The nurse will primarily work in the Emergency Department but may float to other acute care units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a busy, high-acuity Emergency Department setting.
Triage, assess, and manage patients presenting with a variety of emergent medical conditions.
Utilize advanced life support and trauma nursing skills to stabilize and treat patients.
Maintain accurate and timely charting in the facility’s EMR system.

Required Qualifications

Active RN license (Georgia or compact state).
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience in a large Level I trauma facility.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC (required).
Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills.
Must provide a resume with no gaps, an ED skills checklist, and ED references upon submission.

Additional Details

Shift: Day shift
Weekly Hours: 36 per week
Contract Type: Daily OT after 24 hours; weekly OT after 40 hours (based on multiplier)
Schedule Type: Deferred schedule
On Call: No
Float Requirement: May float to other acute care units if necessary
Facility Type: Level I Trauma Center
Charting System: Epic (or facility standard)
